Week One Term 2

Happy Mothers’ Day to all our wonderful Mothers and Grandmothers! Hopefully your day was not like this!

But rather more something like this….

A Mother’s Prayer For You
~Anon

I said a Mother’s Day prayer for you
to thank the Lord above
for blessing me with a lifetime
of your tenderhearted love.
I thanked God for the caring
you’ve shown me through the years,
for the closeness we’ve enjoyed
in time of laughter and of tears.
And so, I thank you from the heart
for all you’ve done for me
and I bless the Lord for giving me
the best mother there could be!

Week One  began well and everyone seemed to be refreshed and ready for learning after a lovely break from routine. We have another crop of new entrants plus a few new children at other levels of the school. Welcome to them and their families! They will all be officially welcomed at prayer on Monday morning.

Room 1 students and Mrs Bon had prepared a resurrection liturgy to complete the Easter Story which the rest of the  children had  presented at school on Holy Thursday. It was a lively, joyful and prayerful liturgy to remind us all again about the amazing happening that was the resurrection of Jesus.

Most of our Year 4 students and some students from other year levels were confirmed by Bishop Pat Dunne on Saturday afternoon and they also received their First Holy Communion. Congratulations to each one of them!

On St Joseph’s Day, last Thursday, a very beautiful and prayerful presentation of the life of St Joseph was held in the Hall. Later in the day, each team spent time together on fun activities to celebrate our school feast day.

This week we have soccer skills for all on Tuesday and a Rippa tournament for some children from Years 3-6 on Thursday.

God bless!

Nga mihi
