On Tuesday 12th September the North Shore inter school speech finals took place in our school hall.  Everyone was very excited to hear the best speeches selected from schools across the North Shore .  There were 12  talented speakers including our very own Gabrielle D from year six.

All of the speeches were compelling to listen to and we wanted to hear more.   There was lots of whispering as we waited for the judges to announce the winners.  The finalists speeches included Be Yourself, Plastic Plastic, Texting, Why Fidgeting is Good For You and Role Models.

Gabrielle D was the ultimate winner  with her speech on the reality of living in a large family.  The audience erupted into huge cheers and applause.  We were all very proud to see a St Joseph’s student win the finals.
