2020 Reporting
2020 Reporting
Dear Parents
In light of the Covid-19 Alert 3 & 4 Lockdown, your child’s progress report has been delayed this year. Student Led Conferences are being held from the beginning of Week 3 Term 3 for students Years 2 – 6. Your child’s teacher will be in contact next term to arrange a suitable time. We encourage parents to take up this opportunity as it allows your child to share their learning with you and for the teacher to share the progress your child has made.
This year we are reviewing the way in which we report to parents;
Review reporting … in relation to Ministry of Education expectations, Self Directed learning, and parent expectations. (2020 Annual Implementation Plan)
We are also looking at ‘Real Time Reporting’;
Take initial steps to investigate ‘Real Time Reporting … (2020 Annual Implementation Plan).
Teachers have reviewed the 2019 progress and achievement reports and considered the work that the students and teachers did through the Online Programme of Learning during Alert Levvel 3/4 Lockdown. They have developed new progress and achievement report formats for 2020. These are being trialled. The reporting formats are appropriate to Year groups. Once students and parents have trialled this format of reporting we will be seeking feedback, in order to assist us with the next development stage of this review.
