ST JOSEPH’S CATHOLIC

TAKAPUNA
PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE
Kia ora koutou
It was lovely to be able to welcome children back for Term 4. It is nice to hear about their breaks and what they got up to.
This term is a busy one. Each teaching team is sending out a ‘term 4 team letter’ to parents sharing what is planned for the term. Please take note of the dates that are relevant to your children.
Next weekend is Labour Weekend. Monday 28 October is a NZ public holiday. All schools are closed on this day.
Our final day for the term, and the 2024 year, is Wednesday 18 December. On the final day of the year the school closes at 1 pm. Please note this date and time in your diary.
In Term 4, all children are expected to wear school hats when they are outside. Please ensure your child has a school hat.
An important part of our school charism is supporting people in need. At morning prayers children kindly bring money and/or cans of food for the missions. Each term we have various organisations we support with these donations from the children and through the ‘weekend wear’ days donations.
This term we will support ‘Cans for Christmas’, ‘Angel Tree’ and two Mercy schools: Takuilau College in Tonga; and St Joan of Arc School in Leulumoega and St Theresa’s School on the island of Savaii, Samoa. Keep an eye out for information on these missions in the ‘Principal Message’
