PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE

All Saints’ Day Prayer

Today we celebrate the lives of the saints, those men and women whose goodness and love of God have inspired the world.

Saints have allowed God’s love to shine out through them, and may their lives inspire us to show this love and goodness to all.

Loving Father, as we follow the way of Christ, keep us ever faithful to you,
and close to your love and peace.

May the lives of the Saints be an example to us of the many ways to love and live.

We ask this through Christ your Son.

Amen

Kia ora koutou

This morning the home groups came together for team prayers for All Saints Day. The beautiful prayer above was part of the liturgy. May we continue to follow the way of Christ, and stay faithful and close to the love of Our Lord.

Today, I had two boys come and wish me ‘Happy Diwali’. Diwali is ‘the festival of lights’ and is celebrated by many with parties, dinners, food and prayer. Over November there are a number of Diwali celebrations around Auckland. They are well worth attending. ‘Happy Diwali’.

Last week you will have received your child’s invoice/statement for their school fees. Thank you to those families who have fully paid their fees. This is greatly appreciated. If you have not fully paid the school fees, please could this be done before the end of this month, November. If you have any queries about your fees please contact me. Thank you for ensuring all the 2024 school fees are paid.

If you are planning for your child to leave for their Christmas break prior to the school’s final day for the year (Wednesday, the 18th of  December), please let your child’s teacher know and please enter their absence on the @schoolapp for the dates they will be away. Teachers will ensure that your child brings home their stationery and work for the year on their final day.

As you will be aware, the Government is currently focused on parents ensuring their children attend school every day, unless they’re sick. For the 2025 school year, schools will be required to send in attendance data to the Ministry of Education each day. We strongly recommend that you plan your 2025 family holidays in the school breaks. The 2025 dates were published in last week’s Principal’s Message.

Have a lovely weekend.

Ka manaakitia e koutou e te Atua.
