ST JOSEPH’S CATHOLIC
SCHOOL
TAKAPUNA
PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE
Dear Parents
This morning we welcomed six new students, and their families, to our school community. It is wonderful to be able to welcome them with the support of the school kapa haka group who have grown in confidence over the year with their performances. Yesterday they performed for the parish ‘Over 60s’ group who really appreciated seeing and hearing them. Their next performance will be at our end of year liturgy, Friday 13 December. All whanau are welcome to join us for this special celebration.
Yesterday you received an email from our Board of Trustees. Thank you for completing the AskYourTeam survey. The school leadership team and teachers have reviewed the feedback that was provided from the children staff and parents. This feedback helps provide us direction for the 2025 school year.
Monday saw the year 3 – 6 children participating in their Athletics Day. The children had a great time participating in the various events. Thank you to the parents who were able to take time from their busy day to come and watch the children giving it a go.
Teachers had a very successful day on Friday unpacking the new English and Mathematics and Statistics Curriculums. The next Ministry of Education Curriculum Day (school closed to children) will be Friday 7 February 2025. This day will see teachers looking into the Mathematics and Statistics Curriculum in more detail.
Ka manaakitia e koutou e te Atua.
