PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE

Dear Parents

The term is flying by and next week will be the penultimate week.

Please can you check in your diaries that you have noted ‘Sharing the Learning’ for Tuesday 8 to Thursday 10 April. You have an opportunity look at the learning your child has achieved with them, on one of these mornings between 8:15 am and 8:45 am. The children really enjoy sharing what they have done throughout the term and it is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate with them, their progress.

Today, the Kiwi team carried out further training for structured literacy and next week all teams will be carrying out further training for the new Mathematics and Statistics Curriculum. We are very grateful to the wonderful pool of release teachers we have, who the children know. This provides the children consistency while their teachers are carrying our the required professional development.

Friday afternoon next week sees our annual school Colour Run afternoon. Thank you to all the families and friends who have sponsored the children for this run. We really appreciate everyone’s generosity. We look forward to seeing whanau and friends on the bottom field bank supporting this AWESOME event, Friday 4 April, 1:30 pm.

CRAZY COLOUR DAY SCHOOL FUN RUN – 1 WEEK TO GO!

HELPFUL HINT: We recommend your youngster brings a change of clothes, particularly if they’re taking the bus home, as the coach companies aren’t very appreciative if the coloured powder comes off on their bus seats (good suggestion for kids travelling in private vehicles as well). 🙂
