Shackleton Bear is a bear who travelled with a crew to the South Pole.

He learnt that it was very cold Brrrr..!

John and Shackleton Bear went exploring. They discovered the sea lions were making a ROARING sound. They spotted sea elephants with long tails and fat bodies which were enormous. Shackleton spotted the King and Emperor penguins. He had his photo taken with them and the babies.

For three months the sun didn’t rise. Shackleton discovered that Antarctica is very dry and no rain falls. When John and Shackleton went into the freezing water, Shackleton was scared. John rescued him and rubbed him dry with a towel.

Shackletons favourite place in the world was on top at the front of the boat.

Next year he might go to the North Pole.

Shackleton Bears Trip

Shackleton Bear went to Antarctica and he discovered new things. He found out that the elephant seals were very long, pongy and noisy.

Antarctica was extremely cold and dry.Shackleton shivered when he was on the ice.

He found Shackleton’s hut. It was just like when Shackleton left it 100 years ago. Whoo!

When he was on the boat his favourite place to go was at the very top of the boat. Shackleton Bear could see the crashing waves, breaking ice and icebergs.
