Learning to Live and Learn at St. Joseph’s

Mercy Values

Tika – Justice                   Pono – Truth                        Aroha – Compassion

Manaakitanga – Hospitality                   Tapu – Respect (for our Environment)

These values are interwoven in all we try to do here at school. Like with everything that is noble, we aspire to understand them and try to live out our school values. We are on a journey -Te Wa. Sometimes we succeed. Other times we fail. The most important thing is picking ourselves up after failure and continuing to make the effort.

We also link the development of the Key Competencies to our daily living and learning. One of the competencies is Relating to Others. This term  we are focusing on these aspects which tie in well with our overall concept of Enterprise:

  • work together
  • accept others’ ideas
  • consider others
