Happenings from Week Nine

There has been a lot of sickness lately for both staff and children. It is timely to remind children about “safe sneezing” ” hand washing”  “nose blowing” “tissue disposal”. While we can’t control the bugs, greater attention to basic hygiene certainly helps.

Four swimmers from Year 6 are competing in  an Inter school North Shore Swimming Competition at Takapuna Leisure Centre today. This is the first time any of our students have been involved and it is thanks to Mr and Mrs Puntanar that a small window of opportunity arose. Thanks to Reynaldo for managing the team.

Approximately 36 swimmers from Years 4-6 will be competing in another inter school swimming event, joining the Pupuke Cluster next Thursday at Takapuna Primary School.

Kea Team  (Rooms 9,12 & 13) have gone off exploring a garden centre today; you can expect a heightened interest in gardens after this and you may even get some volunteers to help out in your home garden….you never know!

Finally, we are holding our Athletics Awards Assembly today. Some athletes have had to be very patient!

Determination and concentration Mia the Runner Will I get over

Have a lovely weekend. Our very best wishes and prayers go to Meidy and Paul as they celebrate their wedding day tomorrow!

Ka kite ano
