Heading into Passion Week

As we head into Passion week the students in our school are focusing on listening and responding to the Easter Stories, knowing  the symbols associated with the Easter stories,  participating in a simple liturgy and continuing to give to others.

Our learning programmes are designed for active participation from all students, incorporating, drama, art, thinking and responding in various ways to the Easter Story.  All learning will come together with the sharing of a school liturgy based around the events of Holy Week.

Please spend time talking to your child about what Jesus did for us and reading the relevant scripture stories.

Jelly bean prayer
Red is for the blood He gave,
Green is for the grass He made,
Yellow is for the sun so bright,
Orange is for the edge of night.
Black is for the sins that were made
White is for the grace He gave,
Purple is for the hour of sorrow,
Pink is for the new tomorrow.
Give a bag full of jelly beans,
Colorful and sweet,
Tell them it’s a Prayer…It’s a promise…
It’s an Easter Treat!
